Streak freeze
Complete six weeks in a row to earn a week off that never breaks your streak.
What to expect
Complete six weeks in a row and you earn a freeze: one week off that doesn't count toward your streak, but doesn't break it either.
You don't have to decide in advance. If you miss your target and the week can't be saved, an earned freeze is applied automatically and your streak carries on from where it was. The frozen week appears above the current week on your history screen, so it's clear what happened and what it cost you.
How it works with Streak Save
The two stack, in order. A missed week is tested against Streak Save first: if you can score the shortfall back the following week, you do, and no freeze is spent. Only when a week is genuinely lost does a freeze get used.
A freeze is not saved for later either: it's applied to the week that needed it.
Why we're building it
Illness, travel and a bad work week are not training failures, but a streak counter treats them exactly like giving up. That makes long streaks fragile in a way that punishes the people who've been most consistent, and losing a 30-week streak to one flu is the point where a lot of people simply stop.
Six weeks of consistency should buy you one week of being a human being.
