Keep Your Streak Through a Tough Week

Missing your weekly target used to end your streak on the spot. Not any more: a short week no longer breaks it outright. It is held open, and a later week can still make it up.

How a Save Works

Fall short of your target and that week drops into a holding state instead of ending your streak. What you owe is double the points you fell short by, added to the next week's normal target. Miss a 300 target by 50? The following week needs 400.

Clear that raised goal and every held week is saved at once, with the whole run counting toward your streak.

Beat your normal target but not the raised one and your streak is still alive. Whatever you were short by doubles again and rolls on to the week after, so the goal follows you until you clear it. Several weeks can be waiting on it at once, and they are all saved together by the week that finally pays it off.

Your home screen shows the raised goal automatically (for example 300 +100) so you always know exactly what it takes to stay on track.

When the Chain Ends

Three things end it: a week that falls below your normal target, a week with no training at all, and a raised goal that would come to more than double your target. Once a week would have to score twice its target the debt is beyond catching up on, so the streak ends there rather than asking you for a number you cannot reach.

A week can only be saved if you scored at least half your target. Fall further short than that and the make-up would already be more than double, so it cannot be rescued. Scoring exactly half asks for exactly double the next week, which is the most you will ever be asked for.

Worth knowing: a week that beats its normal target while the make-up is still outstanding is betting on the chain. If the chain later fails, that week goes down with it rather than starting a fresh streak.

Where You'll See It

While a save is in play, the week arc, the live monitor, and your session summary all measure progress against the higher target. In your history, a week still waiting shows "Missed by X zp, can still be saved", and every week working the debt off shows the extra zone on its progress bar. Once they are rescued, those weeks show "Missed by X zp, saved later".

Turn It Off

If you prefer a strict streak (misses always break it) you can disable streak saving in Settings → Target → Streak saving.
