Zone calculation method

Choose HRR or HRM

You can now choose how ZonePoints calculates your heart rate zones — either using Heart Rate Reserve (HRR) or Heart Rate Max (HRM).

Heart Rate Reserve (HRR)

HRR is the more challenging method. Zones are calculated based on how hard you are working above your resting heart rate, giving a more accurate picture of true training effort. This method requires your resting heart rate to be set.

Heart Rate Max (HRM)

HRM uses your maximum heart rate directly to define zones. It is simpler and works for any level of activity, but it is less precise about training intensity. Selecting HRM disables resting heart rate as it is not needed for this method.

How to Change

Open Settings and look for Zone Calculation Method. Tap to switch between HRR and HRM. Your zones will update immediately.
