Music Lowers During Zone Announcements

Zone change alerts now ask Android to briefly lower the volume of other audio (music, podcasts, audiobooks) while the announcement plays, then restore it straight away. The announcement stays clear without you having to pause anything manually.

How It Works

When your heart rate crosses a zone boundary and “Zone 3” or “Rest zone” is about to play, ZonePoints requests transient audio focus from Android. Apps like Spotify, Pocket Casts, and YouTube Music respond by ducking their volume during the announcement. Then they go back to full volume on their own.

Ducking only works if the other app respects Android’s audio focus system. Most mainstream music and podcast apps do. But some may not.
