Zone alerts duck your music

Music Lowers During Zone Announcements

Zone change alerts now ask Android to briefly lower the volume of any other audio — music, podcasts, audiobooks — while the announcement plays, then restore it immediately afterward. The spoken phrase stays clear without you having to pause anything manually.

How It Works

When your heart rate crosses a zone boundary and "Zone 3" or "Rest zone" is about to play, ZonePoints requests transient audio focus from Android. Apps like Spotify, Pocket Casts, and YouTube Music respond by ducking their volume for the duration of the announcement, then returning to full volume automatically.

Ducking requires the other app to respect Android's audio focus system. Most mainstream music and podcast apps do, but some may not.
