Distance and pace app
A separate app for runs, route, splits and pace targets, sharing one history with ZonePoints when both are installed.
What to expect
An app for the side of training ZonePoints deliberately leaves out: where you went and how fast. Route, splits, distance and pace targets, on screens laid out for a runner watching a pace rather than a zone.
It is a separate app with its own icon, not a mode hidden inside ZonePoints.
One history, two interfaces
Install both and they work as one app. Your sessions, your history and your week are shared, with each app contributing what it measures: heart rate, zones and zone points from ZonePoints, distance, pace and route from the new one. A run recorded in either is a single session, complete in both, and counted once toward your week.
What stays separate is the interface. The icon you tap on your launcher decides which one opens, and that is the whole of the choice: ZonePoints for effort, the other for distance and pace. There is no mode to switch and no setting to find.
Install only one and it stands on its own. Nothing about ZonePoints today depends on the second app existing.
Why we're building it
Distance and effort are two different ways to judge a session, and most apps average them into one crowded screen that serves neither. Putting pace on a ZonePoints screen would quietly change what the app is for, because a number on the screen becomes the thing you chase.
Two apps keep each one simple enough to use without thinking: one that only ever asks how hard your week has been, one that knows your route and your splits, and a single shared history underneath so you never record a run twice or pick which app to open before you set off.
What ZonePoints will not become
ZonePoints stays an effort app. Zone points, zones and weekly effort targets are what it is for, and that does not change when the second app arrives. Distance lives next door, not on this app's home screen.
