Home screen widget

Feedback

This week's zone points, your target and your streak, on your home screen without opening the app.

What to expect

A widget showing the week you are having: zone points so far, how far through your target that is, and whether your streak is still alive.

It is the same week arc the app opens on, sized to sit among your other widgets. Tap it to go straight into the app.

The smallest size is the arc and the number. Larger ones add your streak, the days left in the week, and what you still need to finish it, which is the number that actually decides whether you train tonight.

It updates itself

The widget refreshes when a session is saved and when Health Connect brings something in, so a workout recorded in another app shows up here without you opening ZonePoints at all.

Why we're building it

A gap you can close is only motivating if you can see it. Right now the only way to find out you are 40 points short with two days left is to open the app and look, and the person drifting away from a habit is exactly the person who stops opening the app.

Putting the number where you already look, several times a day, costs nothing and closes that loop.

This is the quiet counterpart to Progress reminders. The widget waits for you to glance at it. A notification comes and finds you. Some people want one, some want the other, and both are optional.
